thoughts and response
... Let me just start off that this chapter gave me so many questions that popped up in my head!!! I really thought that Rudy was going to win all the races and it surprised me when he was disqualified for the race!! But It made me so happy when Liesel brought Rudy's medals back and he said, "No, I didn't," and closed the door before she could argue. And when Liesel realized that the mayor's wife knew all about her visits. lol In the beginning, Liesel goes with Hans to paint windows. She says that even if the people he was painting fo didn't have money he would just ask for half a cigg. This really shows his character and how he has a kind caring heart His kindness is what hurts him in this part though. When he gives the bread to the jew... he instantly knows he has messed up big time. It eats him alive knowing that he messed up.
But i admire Hans for helping the Jew and giving him bread. Thats what I would do, But He put his family including max in danger by doing this. but he did what he did out of kindness. It showed that people are still good in this world. He was doing the right thing when he sent Max away, but I wish he hadn't. I'm going to miss Max... I will miss his character as I continue to read the rest. I hope he makes it through the rest of the book though. Another thing I would like to say is The description of the Jews in the parade was enough to make you feel awful. It really mad me sad..But The author really does a good job of creating the picture of what they really went through. I couldn't image how they felt trying so hard to keep going and have hope when they know whats going to happen in the end..They were dying for someone to help them out.
The book is almost through and I love it!!!!!!!
